During a routine inspection
We spoke with seven people who used the service individually as well as with four focus groups where people were able to give us their views about healthcare at the prison. They were generally positive about the standard of the care and treatment they received.
We saw that people were treated with respect. They were given information and advice about their health problems and any treatment they received.
The NHS trust that provided primary healthcare services worked with other healthcare providers. This ensured that people received continuity of care.
We saw that healthcare staff were supported to be trained to an appropriate standard.
We looked at records which showed that the provider was regularly monitoring the quality of its service.
