There is a truly holistic approach to assessing, planning and delivering care and treatment to all people who use services. This includes addressing, where relevant, their nutrition, hydration and pain relief needs. The safe use of innovative and pioneering approaches to care and how it is delivered are actively encouraged. New evidence-based techniques and technologies are used to support the delivery of high-quality care.

People who are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (MHA) understand and are empowered to exercise their rights under the Act. The provider supports staff to understand and meet the standards in the MHA Code of Practice, working effectively with others to promote the best outcomes with a focus on recovery for people subject to the MHA.
