E2. How are people's care and treatment outcomes monitored and how do they compare with other similar services?
Characteristics of services we would rate as good in this area
Information about people's care and treatment, and their outcomes, is routinely collected and monitored. This information is used to improve care. Outcomes for people who use services are positive, consistent and meet expectations.
There is participation (that includes all relevant staff) in relevant local and national clinical audits and other monitoring activities such as reviews of services, benchmarking and peer review and approved service accreditation schemes. Accurate and up-to-date information about effectiveness is shared internally and externally and is understood by staff. It is used to improve care and treatment and people’s outcomes and this improvement is checked and monitored.
