Governance, management and sustainability
The systems to manage current and future performance and risks to the quality of the service; take a proportionate approach to managing risk that allows new and innovative ideas to be tested within the service. The provider had established governance processes that were appropriate for their service. Staff could access all required policies and procedures. Leaders and managers held regular practice meetings with staff, during which they discussed clinical concerns and emerging risks. Any actions arising from these meetings were clearly recorded and shared with staff. Staff took patient confidentiality and information security seriously, there were policies and procedures to ensure this.
