Caring
People were supported with various activities such as accessing the community, having friends and family visit and communion. People were supported by staff to attend appointments. People were also seen choosing hot and cold drinks during the inspection and care plans contained important information relating to which hot drink people enjoyed and when such as at bedtime time.

Independence, choice and control
Staff gave examples of how they give people choice and control. One member of staff told us, "What would people like to wear. Do you want a shower or bath".
People felt supported with their individual needs, choices and how they chose to spend their time. One person told us, "I don’t need any help, I’m going out for a walk". Another person told us, "I decide when I need help. I have become much more confident since I got here. The staff encourage me to try things. My key worker has helped me so much to get my confidence back".
Care plans contained important information relating to people's individual needs such as what hot drink they liked and their personal history and preferences.
