During a routine inspection
We spoke to relatives of two people who lived at The Old Haybarn. Both relatives told us that they were 'very happy' with the care there. One relative told us, 'It's like (X) has got brothers and sisters, (X) is part of a happy family.'
We looked at the care plans for people who used the service and saw these were comprehensive. They included people's personal profiles, what they liked and disliked. We saw that people could choose what they wanted to eat and were involved in decisions that affected their care and the way they lived at The Old Haybarn.
We saw there were records in place to ensure the safe management of medicines and that staff had received appropriate training to administer medication.
We spoke to staff who told us about the training they had received and that this was refreshed regularly.
Communication between relatives and staff at The Old Haybarn was good. One relative told us that they had, 'Good communication with the home' and that overall they did not have any complaints.
