During an inspection looking at part of the service
We found that the home had implemented systems to monitor infection and they had carried out a number of audits to ensure that good standards of infection control were in place. These systems were in the early stages of development but the manager had clear plans in place to complete this work and to ensure that regular auditing continued.
We found that improvements had been made to the environment which included carrying out recommendations from both the fire officer's visit and the environmental health agency. We also found that electrical wiring work had been completed. We did note that some improvements to the environment were still required and agreed with the provider that they would send us an annual plan to demonstrate how and when this work would be completed.
