During a routine inspection
People using the service told us the "food was nice, they were always satisfied, family can visit anytime, they felt safe and were happy with how things are".
Since our last inspection a fire safety inspection had taken place and the provider had been given a list of recommendations to improve fire safety. This included new lighting on fire escapes, and personal evacuation plans for each person using the service. We could see the provider had addressed all actions.
We were told that most of the staff had worked at the home for several years. This provided continuity of care for people who used the service. The families we spoke with said the staff were "helpful, co-operative and friendly". The people using the service said they were "lovely" and they "liked most of them".
People told us they were very happy with the home and they felt "safe". There were comprehensive risk assessments in place which the manager reviewed regularly and the manager spent lots of time engaging with and listening to people using the service about what they wanted and needed.
