During a routine inspection
We were shown people's treatment plans. The plans included patient assessment and a medical questionnaire which detailed any allergies and medications. A relevant health information sheet and consent forms for each treatment were also included. We saw the consent forms explained what the procedure involved, explained the risks relevant to each procedure and possible side effects.
Records we looked at showed evidence the premises were adequately maintained. We saw the provider carried out regular health and safety checks. These included checks on equipment, electricity, lighting, waste management, water and fire safety.
We saw evidence MYA used an induction training programme for people starting work at the clinic that included a probationary period. The programme included policies and procedures, shadowing and responsibilities of the role.
The provider carried out several clinic audits, which included for example, a quarterly infection control audit, clinic on-call tracker, prescription register and monthly medical audits. The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
