People rarely participated in meaningful activities. Staff told us they did not have time to support people in this area. We recognised not everyone may have wanted to participate, but there were clearly missed opportunities for staff to support people to lead more meaningful and fulfilled lives.

Feedback from people in this area was generally good. People felt listened to and that staff respected their privacy and dignity. Some people wanted to explore further opportunities and activities outside of the home, whilst others were content with doing relatively little.

Staff told us the majority of people were independent with tasks related to personal care and were able to assert choice and control over most aspects their lives. However, people did require some form of prompt and reassurance regarding activities of daily living.
