All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who used the service, one relative and seven members of staff. We also contacted social care professionals about their experiences when working with the service.

People were pleased with the care and support they received. They told us they found the service professional and reliable. They said their care workers were consistently respectful and considerate at all times. One person told us, "It takes the pressure off me having good, reliable care workers to help me with my xxxx.'.

Most people we spoke with told us they felt included and involved in making decisions about the way their care was to be carried out. We saw care plan information did not reflect all of the details about the good day to day care people told us they received.

People told us that they liked the staff and they felt safe. We saw work was in progress to improve systems the agency had in place to protect people. Staff told us they enjoyed their work and said they were well supported.

The service had satisfactory recruitment processes to make sure they employed the right

staff to meet the needs of the vulnerable and often highly dependent people the service assisted.

The service ensured that people's views were considered and listened to both formally and informally. People had been provided with information on how to use the complaints

process.

During an inspection looking at part of the service

We carried out this review to check on the care and welfare of people who used this service.

We did not review every outcome for this provider. We were proportionate in our approach and focused on outcome four and sixteen.

We spoke with four people who used the service, three staff and the managers of the agency branch.

There were many positive comments and overall people were pleased with the care and support they received. Many comments were made about staff being kind and caring, helpful and friendly.

People who used the service said they received information before they agreed to the service. They said they had their needs assessed and were monitored closely by the staff involved with their care.

People said they were treated as individuals and any changes to care communicated to the care workers speedily which ensured consistent quality care.
