During a routine inspection
People we spoke with told us that the care that was discussed with them matched the care that was being provided. People also told us that they liked living at Rosedale and the staff were supportive to their needs. We saw that there were activities planned for people and they were involved within the local community.
We saw that care plans were person centred and reflected the person's needs. We saw that care plans were presented in an easy to read format for people to help their understanding of what support they would receive.
We saw members of staff supported people as detailed within their care plans. We spoke with staff who were able to tell us about people's support needs and what interests people had within the home.
We spoke with two staff members about what they thought abuse was and they showed they had a good awareness of the importance of keeping people safe. They understood their responsibilities for reporting any concerns regarding abuse.
We saw the provider had a system in place to monitor the quality of the service provided. We saw their had been resident and staff surveys completed during 2012. These had been analysed to identify where any areas of improvement might be required.
