During a routine inspection
Part of the inspection was to review compliance actions set at the last visit in March 2012 . We found the home was now complaint in the previous compliance actions set.

People said that they appreciate having their own rooms, and being able to choose how they are decorated. One person told us "I have my own things here'.
One person told us" they let us have a drink here if we like here. I had a sherry at home every now and again so it's nice I can do it here as well.'
People told us that they liked living at the home. One person said "It's very nice here. I get a bit bored sometimes".
Two people who use the service told us that they felt safe at the home and that staff are "very caring but they are rushed ".
A staff member told us 'I try and make time for people to sit and talk. I can't always do that if I am on the top floor it's really busy there".
People told us that the food was "excellent" and that there was plenty to eat at times that suited them. One person said "there is always a good choice".
The manager told us 'I am very disappointed about the things we found today. We are better than that and we have let ourselves down. From now on we will ensure that there are clear plans about people's food intake and the management of any pressure sores".
Following discussions with the regional manager the manager told us 'we intend to have a clinical review of one person every day where we as a team look at all aspects of their care. We are starting with the people where there is some degree of risk".
