During a routine inspection
People also told us that staff treated them with respect, listened to them, gave them choices, made them feel safe and supported. One person told us, 'We have regular residents meetings; we discuss what things can improve and then speak with staff to enable the changes.' Another person we spoke with said, 'We have very good staff and a passionate manager who listens to us.'
People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. One person told us, 'The staff look after us and I feel safe living here.'
We found there was an effective recruitment and selection processes in place. Staff received appropriate professional development. A training programme was in place to provide staff with the training and support they needed. Staff we spoke with told us the training was good.
There was an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. There was a complaints policy that took account of complaints and comments to improve the service
