During a routine inspection
We found that people's support plans were clear, person centred and provided the reader with a picture of the person receiving the support. People we spoke with understood their plan and had signed to say they were in agreement with its contents.
We looked at medication management and there were systems in place that meant medication was managed safely. Staff were trained to administer medication if required. When we visited the service none of the people receiving the service needed staff to administer their medication, but some did require prompting and observation.
Staff were experienced and had received training to ensure they had the qualifications, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles. One person told us the staff were "...marvellous." Another said "I'm happy with my support."
There was a process in place to ensure the quality of the service was maintained. People's views were sought, support plans were reviewed and training and supervision of staff took place on a planned basis.
