During a routine inspection
We found that people had been given sufficient information to make an informed decision about their treatments with time to consider their options before making a decision. People also told us they were given advice including explanations of any risks associated with procedures.
We looked at how information in medication administration records, audits and care notes supported the safe handling of medicines. Overall there were suitable arrangements in place. However, concerns were identified around lack of effective audits in the management of out of date stock.
We saw that there was a complaints policy and system in place to respond to people's comments and complaints. People we spoke with told us that they were satisfied with the service they had received and had no reason to complain.
We saw that the provider operated a comprehensive system for assessing the quality of the service provided. We saw that people regularly had their views and opinions surveyed regarding the quality of the service they had received.
