The assessment took place from 09 July 2024 to 31 July 2024. Maplewood Court Care Home is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care, and treatment of disease, disorder or injury to up to 72 people. The service provides support to older and younger adults some of whom were living with dementia. At the beginning of our assessment 70 people were living at the service. This assessment was the first rating of the service, so we looked at all Quality Statements. We found the service was good. People felt safe living at Maplewood Court Care Home. People and those important to them were involved in their care and in providing feedback to help continuously improve the service and people’s experience. The majority of systems and processes in the services supported the safe, effective management of the service. There were some issues with some details in peoples care records that we identified during our visit to the service which we fedback to the registered manager and were resolved before we returned for our second day. The service was managed by capable and compassionate leaders who supported their staff team to ensure people received the care and support they needed. There were enough staff with the right skills who knew people well to ensure people received person-centered care that holistically met their needs.
