During a routine inspection
We found that staff had undertaken appropriate safeguarding training and this was regularly updated. They were able to describe the process for raising a concern and said they would feel confident doing this. Two people we spoke with during the visit said they felt they were safe and they could raise concerns. We saw that information about raising a concern was displayed throughout the home.
We looked at how staff were supported to do their jobs well and found that they were given appropriate training and support.
We found that there were systems in place to regularly review many different aspects of the service. This was done to ensure that standards were being maintained. The service worked with a compliance manager who supported the registered manager to undertake regular audits and reviews of the service.
We spoke with both staff and people using the service about the procedures for raising concerns. We also asked a relative if they felt they could raise concerns. We found that people knew about how to make a complaint and felt confident that concerns would be addressed.
