During an inspection looking at part of the service
We saw that people were cared for and looked after by the staff. The staff were able to communicate well with people and had time for each person.
We spoke to relatives who were complimentary about the service and the care that was provided to their relatives. Relatives told us that 'it's like a home from home for them' and 'they have their own individual life here'. They told us they were able to have input into the care, treatment and choices, but told us they knew their relatives were well cared for. They were happy to raise concerns and felt that when they had they were listened to and dealt with.
One person had recently been involved in choosing the colour of the bathroom. There was a new floor covering in the conservatory and a number of pictures of the people who lived there were displayed in frames.
