Staff told us that they received ongoing safeguarding training they helped them understand their responsibility in protecting people from abuse and we saw training records that supported this.
We were told that medication was well managed within the home and we observed staff administering medication and we looked at records that showed people using the service were protected from medication errors by well trained and competent staff.
Staff told us that the service was regularly audited to ensure it was running safely. We saw records both at the home and the head office showing that the service was visited regularly by a manager to ensure that the service was run in the best interest of the people living there.
Staff told us they felt confident to support people in making a complaint and we saw policies and procedures that showed how complaints should be managed and the provider was clear in their role of ensuring people had their complaints heard.
