Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not admit any new service user to Windsor House without the prior written
agreement of the Commission. This includes readmissions including following hospital discharge, respite
care packages and emergency admissions.
The Registered Provider must send a safe emergency evacuation plan to the Commission by 11 November 2024. This plan must evidence the following:
a) A sufficiently qualified person has developed a robust fire evacuation procedure.
b) Staff have been assessed as competent in fire evacuation procedures, including use of emergency
evacuation equipment, the use of any firefighting equipment, fire drills (including at night) and how to move service users quickly in an emergency.
The registered provider must send a report to the commission by 11 November 2024, outlining how
information relating to service user’s care and support needs are disseminated to care staff to ensure
they understand what is expected of them to provide a safe delivery of care to all service users.
The registered provider must send by the 8 November 2024, an environmental risk assessment, and risk assessments for individual service users, which incorporates risks relating to the use of the stairs by service users. This must also include risks associated with the use of portable heaters for each heater
in use.
The registered provider must send a report to the commission by 11 November 2024, setting out a clear
organisational structure with roles and responsibilities which should cover how you are providing robust oversight and governance which includes checking the quality of the work carried out by staff in the service.
The registered provider must produce an action plan to reflect the shortfalls found in the service and provide the Commission with a weekly update on how these are being rectified by 12 noon on each Monday of the week commencing 11 November 2024. This report must specify when the actions
have been, or will be, completed and highlight who is responsible to ensure that the required mprovements are made.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Windsor House.
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 17 service users at Windsor House.
