During a routine inspection
We met all 13 people, and spoke in detail to 8 people. Everyone one we spoke with told us how pleased they were with the care and support they received at the home, and how happy they were with the staff who support them. One person said, " I would give it 100% here. I have been very satisfied." The relative of someone who had lived at the home had said, " A special thanks for the care and compassion and humour you showed my relative."
We found that people were offered activities in the home, and supported to access the local community if they wished. We observed a bean bag throwing game which people really enjoyed, and people told us the home organised bingo, entertainers, film nights and church services.
We last visited this home in June 2012. We found all areas of the home had improved since that time. We remained concerned about the quality of records held by the home, and the way in which these managed. We found these poor records could lead to people not getting the treatment they need, and records were not available to show that the home was a safe place to live and work.
