People living at the home told us that they felt their needs, wishes and preferences were always put first, unless there was good reason for them not to be. This was due to risk factors or for safety reasons. Some of the people who used service told us that the care and support offered to them was appropriate and based on their personal needs and requirements. By making observations and talking with users of the service we found that people's personal needs had been assessed. This made sure they received safe and appropriate care that supported their needs and accommodated their rights. People we spoke with told us they had been involved in their care planning and consented to their care and support.
Comments we received by people using the service included:
' I get everything I need here, I don't want to leave'.
'The staff are good at sorting things out for me'.
'If I need to talk about anything I can do. The staff listen to me'.
'It's been good here for me, but I am ready to leave now'.
