Our view of the service
Date of assessment 4 July 2024 to 11 July 2024. We found the provider had made improvements since the last inspection. People were supported by staff who understood their care and support needs. There were enough staff to support people safely and people received their medicines as prescribed. Processes were in place to assess people’s capacity to make decisions about their care, in line with The Mental Capacity Act 2005. Staff spoke positively about the support they received and felt able to speak up about any concerns. However, further improvements were still required to governance processes to ensure effective oversight of the quality of people’s care and medicines management systems. Staff and external partner agencies expressed concerns about inconsistency of management and the potential impact on people’s experience of care.
People's experience of this service
People told us they felt safe and received their medicines as prescribed. People felt supported by staff who encouraged their independence and dignity. However, feedback about mealtimes was not always positive and concerns had been raised by people and relatives about the quality of food provided. People described staff as kind and caring and felt they could raise concerns about their care.
