Our view of the service

Abbeywell Court is a care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 45 people. Care was provided in one adapted building across two floors. At the time of our inspection there were 37 people using the service. The assessment took place between 23 May and 05 June 2024. We undertook this assessment following information received about the quality of care provided, in particular how the service managed people’s falls risks. The provider had made some improvements since our last assessment and had effective systems in place to provide safe care, make improvements and learn lessons when things go wrong.

People's experience of this service

People told us they felt safe, and staff requested support from external services when needed. However, people felt they were not always involved in improving the service.
