Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not carry on the regulated activity of Personal care to any new service users from Fareni Lifecare Ltd 25 High Street, Feltwell, Thetford, IP26 4AF without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission.
The registered provider must not provide the regulated activity of Personal care to any existing service user using staff who have not got an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in place and must ensure the requirements of schedule 3 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 are being met in full.
By 10am on 30 April 2024, the registered person must submit to the Care Quality Commission written evidence of applying for enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks for all care staff working for Fareni Lifecare Ltd at 25 High Street, Feltwell, Thetford, IP26 4AF as of the 26 April 2024.
By 10am on Tuesday 30 April 2024, the registered provider must supply the Care Quality Commission with a report detailing the recruitment checks in place for each staff member and details of any actions taken in response to identified shortfalls within the report to meet the requirements of schedule 3 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 are being met in full.
By 10am Tuesday 30 April 2024, the registered provider must provide written evidence they have reviewed the individual training and competency needs of all staff. This review must demonstrate actions taken to ensure staff have the required skills to safely meet the individual needs of service users.
From the 25 April 2024, the registered provider must carry out monthly reviews of staff files to ensure that all staff have had the necessary recruitment checks including DBS and the training needs and competency of all staff continue to meet the needs of those service users receiving a regulated activity. Evidence of this must be supplied to Care Quality Commission on the first Monday of every month.
The registered provider must ensure that all service users’ needs are reviewed
immediately with a copy of the initial review sent to the Care Quality Commission by 10am on Tuesday 30 April 2024. to the registered provider must provide a monthly report which demonstrates the ongoing review, monitoring and updating of those assessments on the first Monday of every month thereafter, identifying any shortfalls and the actions taken in response. The provider must:
a. Identify any immediate risks associated with service users’ care needs and complete an urgent review and update their care plans and risk assessments including, but not limited to, manual handling, medication and skin integrity.
b. Ensure service users have personalised care plans and risk assessments in place detailing what support staff need to provide to meet their individualised needs and risks.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide Personal care in a specialist service to people whose presenting need for care or support is as a direct result of the person’s learning disability and or autism at or from Fareni Lifecare Ltd.
