During a routine inspection
We spoke with three people using the service, three members of staff and the service's acting manager. People were positive about the support they received. They told us staff were 'guardian angels' who had 'been really supportive'.
The provider had taken steps to ensure people's views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered. People were supported to be as independent as possible, and were treated with dignity and respect as individuals.
Assessments, records and plans for people using the service were accurate, complete and fit for purpose. The provider had taken steps to ensure people received appropriate care that met their needs, and had plans in place to ensure continuity of support in the event of an emergency. People were also further protected by the provider having appropriate safeguarding systems in place.
Staff were positive about the support they received from their managers. Inductions were to recognised standards, and staff had sufficient training and ongoing support to carry out their roles effectively.
The service had an effective process for receiving and responding to people's complaints.
