During a routine inspection
We saw people's wishes and preferences were recorded in the care records we looked at.
We found people were supported to be able to eat and drink sufficient amounts to meet their needs. Care plans showed people had a choice of food which took account of their individual preferences, needs and cultural requirements. One person we spoke with told us they liked all types of food.
People were protected against the risks associated with medicines because the provider had appropriate arrangements in place to manage medicines. We found staff had a good understanding of people's medication needs.
We found the provider has taken steps to provide care in an environment that was suitably designed and adequately maintained. We saw people who used the service had bedrooms which were personalised to meet their individual choices.
People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. We observed good interactions and found people who used the service were relaxed and happy in the care of the staff.
