During an inspection looking at part of the service
We found the provider had implemented a new system for updating patients' medical histories during routine appointments. This ensured patients' medical histories were up to date and the dentist was aware of any concerns that may affect treatment. A new system for reminding patients about their routine appointments was in place.
The provider had given staff a protocol for decontaminating dental instruments to ensure they followed appropriate guidance. We saw changes were made to decontamination areas to ensure instruments could be cleaned and sterilised effectively.
