During a routine inspection
People told us they had completed a registration form and a medical history form when they first started using the service. They said that at their first appointment the dentist had discussed their medical history including allergies and medication and completed a full dental examination. They said their medical history was reviewed on each visit. Most of the people we spoke with said they found the appointments system straightforward and were able to get the appointments they wanted. They said they were seen quickly when they had a dental emergency. Some people had found it an inconvenience when their appointments were cancelled due to the dentist's absence.
People said they found the environment clean and well maintained. They told us that staff would always wear gloves and aprons during their care and treatment and that the instruments and equipment used were always in packaging and unwrapped in front of them.
One person described his experience of the service as: '.pleasant, informative, professional and efficient'. Another person said: 'This practice has more time for me than the last one I went to and I feel very relaxed here'.
