Our view of the service

We completed this assessment on 12 November 2024. We assessed a number of quality statements from the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions and found areas of good practice. At our previous assessment in February 2024 150 people were receiving support from the service. At this assessment 7 people were receiving support. The provider’s registered office location changed before our previous assessment in February 2024 was completed. This assessment has been archived under the provider’s old location as well as being duplicated under the provider’s newly registered location. We have not previously rated this newly registered location. This assessment did not cover all parts of our Assessment Framework; therefore, we have only updated scores and ratings for those areas which we have assessed. We will carry out future assessments to cover other parts of the Framework and will update our website with our findings. This service (under the provider’s old location) has been in Special Measures since March 2024. The provider demonstrated improvements that have been made. The service is no longer rated as inadequate in any of the key questions. Therefore, this service is no longer in Special Measures. The service had made improvements and is no longer in breach of regulations. Staff now assessed and mitigated risks. Care plans now guided safe practice. The provider now had enough suitably qualified and trained staff to ensure people’s safety and meet their needs. People were now supported to have choice and control and were involved in planning their care. There was now more robust oversight of the safety and quality of care.

People's experience of this service

People told us they felt safe with staff and felt they were sufficiently trained and supervised. People and their relatives felt included in the reviews of care and were asked for feedback. One person said, “I’ve always replied they’re (staff) a good bunch.” People and relatives said they were contacted if staff were running late. People and relatives said staff were kind and courteous. They told us they were always able to contact the office if needed and felt the leadership was robust.
