During a routine inspection
Patients we spoke with said their treatment was delivered in a caring manner. One patient told us "He [the dentist] is so calming and easy to talk to. He puts you at ease".
All six of the patients we spoke with were very happy with the treatment they had received. They told us that they were involved in making decisions about their treatment. One patient told us "Everything is explained. I'm very happy with the treatment I've had here in the last three years". Another patient said "She [the dentist] is very good. She tells me what is going on all the time".
Patients we spoke with told us the practice was always clean and tidy. The practice operated processes, and followed procedures, that minimised the risk and spread of infection because current guidelines were followed.
Staff told us they were supported to carry out their roles. One member of staff we spoke with told us "We are very lucky to work with the dentist and practice manager here". We saw that staff received training specific to their job and that they received an annual review of their performance.
The practice had systems in place to receive and act on patient feedback and carried out audits to monitor clinical quality.
