We had previously undertaken a comprehensive inspection under our previous methodology of Regent Dental Care on 15 February 2024 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of regulation 17 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. We undertook a follow up off-site assessment on 15 August 2024. This assessment was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to confirm that the practice was now meeting legal requirements. We found the practice had implemented changes and are no longer in breach of regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Improvements could still be made to recruitment procedures, which did not fully reflect current legislation. Regent Dental Centre is in Altrincham and provides NHS care and treatment to children and private dental care and treatment for adults. There is no step-free access to the practice for people who use wheelchairs. Car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, are available near the practice. The dental team includes 1 dentist, 2 dental hygienists, 1 qualified dental nurse, 2 trainee dental nurses and a receptionist. The practice has 3 treatment rooms.
