During a routine inspection
We looked at support plans to check that people received the correct nutrition, we saw that plans described people's nutritional needs and staff spoken with understood how to support people and ensure they received the correct diet.
We looked at records to see what, if any specialist equipment people needed to maintain their independence. We saw that apart from specialist cutlery and a plate guard people using the service needed very little specialist equipment. However we did note that one person did need a wheelchair and that maintenance records were not available to ensure it was safe for use.
We looked at recruitment records and found that the provider carried out the necessary checks to ensure that people working for the service are fit to do so.
The provider carries out audits of the service to ensure that it is being run in the best interest of the people using it and their is a complaints procedure that is robust and ensure people are supported to complain.
All the records we saw during the inspection were accurate and up to date ensuring they were fit for purpose.
