During a routine inspection
We sampled seven patient files. Each file contained details of treatment plans, confidential medical history and signed consent forms for the specific treatments under sedation.
We found that staff were trained in dealing with medical emergencies and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). We saw evidence of regular staff training and certificates in staff files. The clinic had emergency equipment available including a defibrillator, oxygen and emergency drugs.
Treatments were undertaken in an environment which was modern, clean and maintained to a high standard. There were detailed infection control policies and procedures in place.
One member of staff told us: "I feel very supported, we have a really nice team, it is a great place to work. The managers are really supportive and sensitive both with work and personal matters".
The practice had an effective system in place to monitor the quality of the service provided. We sampled patient feedback questionnaires which provided positive feed-back about the service provided. We saw evidence to support that audits were routinely undertaken.
