During a routine inspection
People shared positive experiences of their treatment. They told us they were respected and fully involved in their treatment. They told us staff respected their privacy and treated them with dignity. People who paid for their treatment told us they always received an estimate of charges for any proposed treatment and a copy of their treatment plan. One person told us, 'My dentist is very very good. I am so pleased with the service and thankful I joined.'
People said they were well informed about the treatment options available to them. They told us these were fully discussed with them and they were given the opportunity to ask questions and were given time to consider these and make an informed decision. They told us their check ups were thorough and the results of any diagnostic tests were fully discussed with them, for example X-rays. One person said, 'I am very pleased with my treatment, I can't fault them.' Another person said, I can't say anything unfavourable about this practice, they are one, if not the best in Telford.' Everybody said they would and had recommended the practice to their family and friends.
People said they had no concerns about their safety and wellbeing when visiting the practice. They considered no unnecessary treatment had been carried out. A nervous patient told us their dentist was aware of their anxiety and 'always put them at ease.' Staff confirmed they had received training in child protection and safeguarding vulnerable adults. They told us what action they would take if they suspected or observed abuse.
People told us staff wore personal protective clothing such as uniform, disposable gloves, masks and eye protection. They said they always found the practice clean and tidy. Staff said they had received training in infection control and prevention to help minimise the risk of cross infection.
