During an inspection looking at part of the service

On this occasion, we did not get the opportunity to speak with people using the service. We looked at patients completed satisfaction questionnaires, which showed that people using the service experienced treatment and care that met their needs. Comments in the satisfaction questionnaires included that the practice was always clean and hygienic and that staff were friendly and polite. One person said; 'the surgery maintained a clean environment which makes me feel safe'. Another person said; 'they are friendly and professional'. We found that people were protected from the risk of abuse and infection, and the provider had systems in place to effectively monitor the quality of the service people received.

During a routine inspection

People who use the service understood the care and treatment choices available to them.

People we spoke with told us that they were provided with clear information about treatment options and the cost of treatments that enabled them to make informed decisions. One person told us that 'I had enough information to make a decision to go ahead'.

People told us that the care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that they were comfortable with. They told us that the staff were polite and that appointments were flexible to meet their needs. One person told us that 'I recommend a friend to come here (sic)'. Another person told us that 'I had excellent care and attention' and it has been a 'good experience'.

People we spoke with told us that they found the surgery to be clean and appropriately maintained. One person said that 'this surgery is clean and tidy, surroundings are nice'.
