During a routine inspection
Patients told us that they felt they had enough time and information to make decisions about their individual treatment and to understand their treatment. They told us the dentist spent time discussing the options and costs and they were satisfied with the care and treatment they received.
We found that patients who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. There were procedures in place to deal with safeguarding concerns and staff had received relevant training.
Patients were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. There were suitable infection control systems in place to ensure that instruments were properly sterilised before being re-used. We found that infection control polices were up to date and in line with dentistry guidelines.
