Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
In respect of any additional service user residing in the Bungalow:
a. Any service user residing in the Bungalow must require no more than 1:1 care support provision within the Bungalow and any such service user must have not have imminent and predictable need for more than 1:1 care support supervision within the Bungalow;
b. Any service user residing in the Bungalow must not require a wheelchair and any such service user must not have imminent and predictable need for use of a wheelchair;
c. The Provider will install a suitable kitchen prior to any service user residing in the Bungalow; and
d. The Provider will install a bedroom door within the Bungalow prior to them residing in the Bungalow, which should be removed if it is assessed that in respect of any identified service user that such door should be removed.
Prior to admission of any additional service user residing in the main house or the outbuilding referred to and known as ‘the Bungalow’ at The Orchard, the Provider shall undertake appropriate meaningful discussions with, and, assessment of the impact upon, all its existing service users at The Orchard in relation to all issues which may impact on the care and amenity and enjoyment of each one of those service users and in relation to all prospective service users who are being considered for admission to The Orchard. The Provider shall provide a written record of such meaningful discussions and assessments to the CQC prior to the admission of any new resident to The Orchard. Such meaningful discussions with, and assessment of impact, will include changes in:
a. The size of The Orchard;
b. Numbers of service users to be accommodated at The Orchard;
c. The identity of service users who are being considered as potential candidates to join The Orchard; and
d. Issues which impact in any way on the day to day enjoyment for an individual service user of amenities and facilities at The Orchard.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at The Orchard.
The Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 8 service users at The Orchard, with a maximum of seven service users accommodated in the main house and a maximum of one service user in the outbuilding referred to as ‘the Bungalow’.
