On the day of our assessment, we gathered the views of 5 patients. They all told us they were treated as an individual and their culture and values were respected, staff were professional, courteous considerate and sensitive and acted with honesty and integrity. Staff helped patients to be involved in decisions about their care and gave patients clear information to help them make informed choices about their treatment. Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. The provider described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.

The practice had information governance arrangements and staff were aware of the importance of protecting patients’ personal information. Paper treatment records were stored securely and complied with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). We saw the general environment layout helped to protect patients’ privacy and dignity. Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion.
