During a routine inspection
We were told that staff were well trained and knew what they were doing, we saw supervision and training records that showed staff received the training and support they needed to provide the necessary support for people using the service.
People using the service told us that staff supported them with their meals both in preparation and shopping. We saw in support plans that people likes and dislikes were recorded and where people needed to be supported to eat healthy diets this was done.
We were told by relatives that staff were supportive and treated their loved ones with respect and involved them in their care. We observed staff with people and saw that they were polite and caring and ensured they offered choice and information about their care.
People told us they knew who to complain to and were confident that it would be dealt with "I would speak to my carers." Staff spoken with all said they would pass on any concerns to either their line manager or Lucy Hogg or Paula Burton (the providers). All staff spoken with were confident that anything they reported would be dealt with. We saw that there was a complaints procedure and complaints passed to them via the Care Quality Commission had bee dealt with.
