Updated 12 July 2024
Assessment activity started on 15 July 2024 and ended on 1 August 2024. Spring Lake is a care home registered to provide care to up to 11 people. At the time of assessment, the service provided support to 9 people in the home. We conducted this assessment to follow up on concerns we identified at the last inspection. These included breaches of Regulations relating to health and safety, safeguarding and governance. The last rating for this service was requires improvement (published 16 August 2022). At this assessment we found improvements had been made and the provider was no longer in breach of regulations. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. The service was able to demonstrate how they were meeting all the underpinning principles of right support, right care, right culture. The manager in post was in the process of registering with the CQC as the manager for this care home.
