Our view of the service
The Triangle Care Home is registered to provide personal care and accommodation to up to 25 people. The home supports younger people, older people and people living with dementia. At the time of our assessment 17 people were living at the home. A site visit to gather people’s experiences and observe care practices was carried out on 12 December 2023. We looked at 4 quality statements; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Person centred care and governance and assurance.
People's experience of this service
Risks to people had not always been fully documented and strategies to mitigate these risks were not always clear. Not all staff had up to date training on people’s healthcare needs. The registered manager updated some risk assessments and had training booked in for staff. People told us they felt safe and there were enough staff to meet their needs. People and relatives felt they received person centred care, and the management of the service was good. Staff told us they knew people well and people confirmed staff knew them. We found staffing levels were sufficient and the provider completed safe recruitment checks. The provider had systems and processes in place to ensure oversight of the service. We found the service had made some improvements since the last inspection.
