During a routine inspection
The three people we spoke with told us they were happy with the care they had received and with the staff team. One person who used the service told us 'Yes I am happy. On the whole I am very satisfied with the care'. Another person who used the service told us 'They are really kind to me. I've got no reason to complain'. Staff we spoke with had a good understanding of the support needs of the people who used the service. One member of staff we spoke with told us 'The clients are at the forefront of everything we do. We listen to them and help them'.
We saw that the service had systems in place to gain and review consent to care and treatment from people who used the service. Also evidence was seen that appropriate pre-employment selection and suitable checking of staff had taken place.
The service had appropriate systems in place for the management and administration of medication. We also saw that the service had quality assurance systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided and to gain the views of the people who used the service.
