During a routine inspection
The people who lived in the home had limited verbal communication, we were able to talk with two people who were able to confirm they were happy in the home. All the people living at the home appeared happy and relaxed. We saw that people responded positively to the interactions from staff. We saw people laughing, smiling, talking and holding hands with the staff.
We spoke with a relative who said, 'All X really needs is to loved and cared for and that is exactly what X gets at Uplands' and 'I couldn't be happier with the home and X [a carer] is very good with X'.
