During a routine inspection
They spoke highly of the staff and manager and said they were kind and caring, punctual, friendly, courteous and respectful. People felt involved in their care arrangements and could make choices and decisions. They felt safe with the staff and had no complaints about the service.
The staff told us that Damor Care was a good company to work for and provided flexibility, satisfactory working conditions and training opportunities.
At the time of our inspection on 12 April 2013, we saw that monitoring systems for involving and caring for people, safeguarding, care planning, recording and managing the service were in place. Staff support systems such as training, supervision and observations of staff practice were in place. The standard of staff recruitment needed to be improved.
