During an inspection in response to concerns
People who used the service understood the care and treatment choices available to them. Their privacy, dignity and independence was respected. People's needs were being met, however, they may be placed at risk through inadequate assessment of the risks associated with their conditions. People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff, who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard. However, there was no formal supervision or appraisal system established. The provider had some systems in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the health, safety and welfare of people using the service and others. However, there were no formal auditing systems in place that would monitor and identify any improvements to the service provided to people. People were protected from the risks of unsafe or inappropriate care and treatment because accurate and appropriate records were maintained.
