During a routine inspection
All people using the service had had an assessment of their needs, and a plan of care which had been reviewed. People had signed their agreement with their care plan.
The service had trained its staff and had processes in place for safeguarding people from abuse. This included effective recruitment and selection processes, which ensured appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work. People using the service told us that if they had any concerns they would contact the manager.
The people we spoke with were positive about the staff. They said the staff were 'lovely people' and 'a really good crew'. All staff had had an induction, training and appraisal to provide them with the skills to do the job.
The service had processes in place for reviewing care, and dealing with complaints, incidents and accidents if they occurred. They had carried out a survey to get feedback from people using the service and staff.
