During a routine inspection
Before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes. One member of staff told us: 'I feel we provide a personal and individual service'.
People's needs had been assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan. Staff told us they were aware of each person's needs and how to give care and support to meet those needs. When we spoke with staff they told us: 'I know their (people who used the service) care needs and the support we offer is reviewed often'.
People were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
People told us that the staff were friendly and provided good care. The provider had effective recruitment and selection processes in place.
The provider was able to demonstrate that they listened to people who used the service and regularly reviewed and monitored the care to make sure people received appropriate care.
