During a routine inspection
When we asked whether they were treated with dignity everyone said that this was the case. One person told us they were 'spoken to properly'. Another person told us they were 'spoken to right' and that it was like having their own children visit.
When we asked about the quality of the care that was provided, people told us they were happy with their care and no-one raised any serious concerns. One person told us they were 'happy with the care' and that when they were poorly the staff stayed and kept them safe. Another said the care workers were 'good people' and that they 'could not fault' the care they were given. A third person said they were 'quite happy' with the care.
We looked at the arrangements the provider had for safeguarding people from abuse and found they were effective and when necessary had been carried out.
We looked at the arrangements for the recruitment of staff and found them to be robust and to meet the requirements of the regulations.
Record keeping was to a good standard both in respect of people's care records and those other records needed for the administration and management of the service.
